Considerable flexibility exists in interpreting the challenge requirements
For 24hr challenge normal definition is road to road having completed all 3 peaks,  alternative definition being summit to summit or excluding driving time allowing 14 hrs on mountains.
The official 3 Peaks club simply requires that all 3 peaks have been climbed. Hence  popularity of 3 day challenge.
